I liked the men’s stripe nylon suit for several reasons: it had a nice fit, the material was very comfortable and I liked the color. However, after about 2 weeks of use (swimming every day for about 1 hour), I noticed that the color was already starting to fade. I made sure to follow the care instructions by rinsing it out after every use and I never hung it out in the sunlight. So far, I must say that the material is keeping its shape and elasticity, just not the color.

I would like to confirm the previous reviewer’s comment that the color on this suit (Navy Blue) faded very quickly. In addition I also found that the shape gets stretched and baggy fairly quickly, in spite of rinsing with fresh water after every chlorine exposure. In general, this doesn’t seem up to Speedo’s usual quality, but for the price ($17) it’s a good deal.

Good price, good material, good fit. Conservative swim suit, without
being baggy. Today’s suites are an impediment to swimming. But must kids
do not know the difference. This suite allows plenty of movement and there
is no drag. Excellent product!

as a gift- given to someone who is too old for the skimpy speedos…but these were too tight on the legs;(and not because legs were too fat) Other than that, they were fine.
Rating: 3 / 5
In this particular catagory (square leg suits) the legs will normally be tight, so buy the correct size, don’t be overly optimistic like you may with lycra. Nothing yet will ever not fade with chorine but on the other hand these fit better after being “washed out”
Nylon doesn’t usually make a good drag suit, go with vented polyester, but they will be baggy instead of the snug fit you get with these. By the way, competition (racer) speedos are always the best, don’t go for mis-applied modesty, you’re at the pool, go for it!
