I purchased this Tiger Safari Soccer Ball as a GIFT. I contacted the Seller when the ball arrived partially deflated as I thought it had a leak. Imagine my surprise when I was informed that the ball is shipped in this manner! Are they kidding?? Do they think that EVERYONE has a BALL PUMP?? And what if I had sent this directly to the child?? I’m SURE that they would have thought that the ball was defective as well.
The ball IS well-made however!
I have since been contacted by the Seller who stated, “All of our soccer balls are shipped partially deflated so that the bladder inside the ball doesn’t expand beyond it’s capacity in the instance of an air shipment by one of our carriers. When exposed to altitude, the bladder may expand and damage the ball. Therefore, it is never fully inflated upon shipment.”
Well, that makes sense, but this should be stated in Amazon’s description so that the Buyer can purchase a ball pump at the same time.
I haven’t ordered many balls via Amazon. Maybe they all ship like this? The ball is adorable!
